Understanding Your Mindset
Staying Secure
The "Why" of your results: In the scenarios where you chose to stay quiet or avoid a mistake, your brain was prioritizing certainty. When we feel our "A" answers are the right choice, it's often because we’ve unconsciously linked our safety to our reputation. If we don't try, we can't fail; if we don't speak, we can't be judged. You aren't "stuck," you are just over-valuing the comfort of the "Known" over the potential of the "Unknown."
-
Example: In the question about a friend's success, you might have felt a "deficit" spark because their win felt like a reminder of where you aren't yet.
-
How to Improve: Instead of trying to "be more confident," try to be more curious. Next time you feel that urge to stay secure, ask: "What is the actual, literal worst thing that happens if this goes wrong?" Usually, the fear is bigger than the reality.
Growth and Evolution
The "Why" of your results: Your answers show that you have decoupled your Self-Worth from your Performance. When you chose the "B" answers, you demonstrated that you see your life as a laboratory, not a courtroom. You don't see a mistake as a "verdict" on who you are; you see it as data on how to get better.
-
Example: In the question about the future, you chose to imagine "what’s possible." This shows your brain is wired to look for Gain rather than Loss.
-
How to Improve: To keep this momentum, you need Intellectual Friction. If things feel too easy, you'll plateau. Seek out people or projects that actually make you feel a bit "outclassed"...that is where your next level of evolution lives.
The Pivot Point
The "Why" of your results: If your results show a mix of choices. Sometimes you lean into the challenge, and sometimes you retreat. This means you are in the Awareness Gap. You’ve started to realize that your old patterns (Staying Secure) don't fit the person you are uncovering but the new habits (Evolution) still feel a bit like "wearing someone else's shoes."
-
Example: You might have chosen the growth answer for the "Mistake" question but the secure answer for the "Future Goals" question. You’re brave with the present, but cautious about the future.
-
How to Improve: Focus on Consistency over Intensity. Don't try to change every pattern at once. Pick one specific "A" answer you gave in this quiz and commit to reacting with the "B" mindset just one time this week.
